Football Recap: Hansberry Finds Home Field Redemption Against Harlan

There's no place like home for Hansberry, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with an 8-0 win over the Harlan Falcons on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bengals also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Hansberry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Malik Brown and Messiah Mensah. Hansberry received some extra help from Amir Lewis, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Hansberry's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Harlan, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Hansberry didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-0 win against Christian Fenger Academy on the 16th. As for Harlan, they have also already played their next game, a 28-0 defeat against Bowen/Baker College Prep on the 16th.
