Basketball Game Preview: Ringgold Tigers vs. Adairsville Tigers

Ringgold and Adairsville are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. Both will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Ringgold is headed into Saturday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 48-29 bruising from North Cobb on Friday. The contest marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Adairsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Model, falling 60-38. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 56th).

Adairsville's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Ringgold, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Ringgold was dealt a bruising 56-26 loss at the hands of Adairsville when the teams last played back in February. Can Ringgold avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
