Baseball Recap: Morrice Orioles vs. Coleman Comets

Morrice put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over the Coleman Comets. The victory was some much needed relief for Morrice as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Brandon Schmidtfranz looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits.

At the plate, Morrice let Oliver Long and Joel Fisher loose on the outfield. Long scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3, while Fisher scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Travis Smith was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
