Basketball Game Preview: Wilbur Cross Governors vs. Hand Tigers

The Wilbur Cross Governors are taking a road trip to challenge the Hand Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilbur Cross has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since December 27.

Last Wednesday, Wilbur Cross took a blow against Hillhouse, falling 58-24. The matchup marked the Governors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hand faced off against Norwich Free Academy on Wednesday. Hand fell 54-44 to Norwich Free Academy. The contest was a 24-24 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Wilbur Cross' record is now 1-10. As for Hand, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Wilbur Cross won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in March of 2021, slipping by Hand 38-37. Will Wilbur Cross repeat their success, or does Hand have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
