Basketball Game Preview: Mount Morris Blue Devils vs. Wayland-Cohocton Eagles

The Mount Morris Blue Devils will challenge the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Morris will be strutting in after a victory while Wayland-Cohocton will be coming in after a loss.

Mount Morris is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Hinsdale Central 61-15 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Wayland-Cohocton took a blow against York on Tuesday, falling 79-19. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 697th, while the Golden Knights are ranked 117th).

Mount Morris' victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Wayland-Cohocton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-14.

Mount Morris was able to grind out a solid win over Wayland-Cohocton in their previous matchup back in January, winning 37-30. Will Mount Morris repeat their success, or does Wayland-Cohocton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
