Football Recap: Taylor Takes a Loss

Taylor and Wildwood squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Taylor had to settle for second. They were dealt a 45-0 loss at the hands of Wildwood. While losing is never fun, Taylor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Wildwood is ranked 11th).

Wildwood found their leader in freshman Zoey Brown, who threw for 248 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 53 yards and one score. Brown has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times she's played. Ja'niya Corbin was in the mix as well, providing Wildwood with two touchdowns.

Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Wildwood, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wildwood, they have already played their next contest, a 48-0 win against The Villages Charter on the 17th.
