Soccer Game Preview: Seton vs. Trinity Christian

Seton hasn't had much luck against Trinity Christian recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Conquistadors will venture away from home to face off against the Gryphons at 4:45 p.m. Seton's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Seton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Conquistadors who were credited with the win. Seton got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Oakcrest's two. The victory was all the more spectacular given Seton's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Oakcrest are ranked second).

Friday just wasn't the day for Trinity Christian's offense. They fell just short of The Covenant by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The loss was Trinity Christian's first of the season.

Seton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8-3. As for Trinity Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1-2.

Seton couldn't quite get it done against Trinity Christian in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 3-1. Can the Conquistadors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
