Volleyball Preview: Vela Sabercats vs. Rowe Warriors        
        
		
             The Vela Sabercats will head out on the road to  challenge  the Rowe Warriors  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Vela is coming into the  match on  a  three-game losing streak.
 Last Saturday, Vela didn't have quite enough to beat Sharyland and fell  3-2.
 Vela actually scored more points across those five sets (106-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 25-17, 15-25, 19-25,  15-12.
 Despite the  loss, Vela saw an underclassman step up:  Fernanda Valdez  had 13  digs.
 Meanwhile, Rowe came up short against Pioneer on Saturday and fell  3-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Diamondbacks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Rowe started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-22, 25-15,  25-14.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  Leana Palacios, who  had 17  digs and 13  assists. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  she now  posted 11 or more in the last three games she's  played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sarai Cano, who  had 23  digs.
 Vela's defeat dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Rowe, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.
 Vela was able to grind out a solid  win over Rowe in their previous meeting  back in August, winning  2-0. Will Vela repeat their success,  or does  Rowe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
