Basketball Game Preview: Ione/Arlington Cardinals vs. Horizon Christian

The Ione/Arlington Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against Horizon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ione/Arlington is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

Ione/Arlington lost 61-35 to Dufur on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Rangers are ranked 103rd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Horizon Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They breezed by Lewis Academy to the tune of 59-29 on Tuesday.

Horizon Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Ione/Arlington, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Ione/Arlington suffered a grim 60-40 defeat to Horizon Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Ione/Arlington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
