Basketball Game Preview: East Orange Campus Jaguars vs. Seton Hall Prep Pirates

The East Orange Campus Jaguars are taking a road trip to square off against the Seton Hall Prep Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

East Orange Campus is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Immaculate Conception just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Lions.

Meanwhile, Seton Hall Prep entered their tilt with Payne Tech on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 63-54 win over the Lions. 63 seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Seton Hall Prep's win came from a few key players East Orange Campus will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alex Ante, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Primo Delgado, who posted 11 points and seven assists.

Seton Hall Prep's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for East Orange Campus, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

East Orange Campus came up short against Seton Hall Prep in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 67-61. Can East Orange Campus avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
