Harrisburg hadn't done well against Herrin recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Bulldogs skirted past the Tigers  2-1. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the   2-0 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in October of 2024.
 Harrisburg had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-16,  25-20.
 Jamisen Green paced Harrisburg's offense, picking up 13 kills. Green got some help from  Emma Morse and her 15 assists. Green was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
The  victory made it two in a row for Harrisburg and  bumps their season record up to 10-15. As for Herrin, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrisburg will host Mt. Vernon  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Herrin, they will be playing at home against Carbondale  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
