Basketball Recap: Wootton Skates Past Seneca Valley with Ease

Wootton won the last time they faced Seneca Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Wootton Patriots took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-38 win over the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles.

Seneca Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Jaysen Moise and Exodus Waites. Moise posted 14 points and five rebounds, while Waites had five points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds gave Waites a new career-high. Xzavier Mabone was another key player, putting up six points.

The victory got Wootton back to even at 4-4. As for Seneca Valley, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Wootton will host Walter Johnson at 7:15 p.m. on January 3rd. Walter Johnson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Wootton likes a good challenge. As for Seneca Valley, they will square off against Quince Orchard at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd.
