Volleyball Game Preview: Wilcox Chargers vs. Fremont Firebirds + How To Watch

The Wilcox Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Fremont Firebirds at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wilcox barely beat MacDonald the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers put the hurt on the Condor with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The Chargers haven't had any issues with the Condor recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Fremont hadn't done well against Lynbrook recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Firebirds had just enough and edged out the Vikings 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Firebirds have posted since September 6th.

Fremont was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-94), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-23, 25-18, 14-25, 15-13.

Wilcox's record now sits at 10-14. As for Fremont, their record is now 8-15.

Wilcox took their victory against Fremont in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
