Basketball Recap: Christian Family Academy Piles Up the Points Against Haywood Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Christian Family Academy). They breezed past the Haywood Christian Academy Red Wolves to the tune of 89-39 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Fire in their matchups with the Red Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Leading Christian Family Academy to victory were Zeke Johnson and Toby Marsh. Johnson dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 assists, while Marsh went 9-for-13 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and four blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Johnson now owns an excellent 45.5% field goal percentage. Noah Danley was another key player, putting up five points in addition to 11 rebounds and five steals.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Christian Family Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Christian Family Academy's record now sits at 3-1. As for Haywood Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Christian Family Academy and Haywood Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Fire see the court they'll take on Community Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
