Basketball Game Preview: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Memorial Red Devils

The Western Reserve Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Memorial Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Saturday, Western Reserve came up short against Springfield and fell 56-45. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Memorial had to endure a 12-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Valley Christian 37-20 on Saturday. The Red Devils' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Memorial found their leader in sophomore Rayona Floyd-Brown, who posted 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Western Reserve's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Memorial, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-13.

Everything came up roses for Western Reserve against Memorial when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 60-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Western Reserve since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
