Basketball Recap: Chapman Piles Up the Points Against High Point Academy

Chapman was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against High Point Academy on Friday. The Chapman Panthers took their game with ease, bagging a 52-21 win over the High Point Academy Grizzlies. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chapman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rylan Ivey, who posted 12 points and four steals. Those 12 points gave Ivey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Krislyn Wilder, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points in addition to six steals and five assists.

Chapman now has a winning record of 6-5. As for High Point Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Chapman has already played their next contest, a 47-36 loss against Blue Ridge on the 28th. As for High Point Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 68-23 defeat against Woodruff on the 28th.
