Volleyball Recap: Burns Sci-Tech Comes Up Short

Burns Sci-Tech lost against Mount Dora Christian Academy back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Burns Sci-Tech was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Mount Dora Christian Academy work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 27-25, 25-13.

Mount Dora Christian Academy was led to victory by Allie Hayden and Katie Bayly. Hayden had eight aces, while Bayly had four aces. Those eight aces gave Hayden a new career-high.

Burns Sci-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Burns Sci-Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Halifax Academy on the 9th. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 win against Real Life Christian Academy on the 9th.
