Whyte Came Up Big in West Springfield's 42-12 Win

Starting off the list is West Springfield's Mark-Anthony Whyte, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Whyte rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 76 yards.

West Springfield has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Whyte and West Springfield are taking a road trip to square off against Lake Braddock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lake Braddock Wins Fourth-Straight Thanks to Michael Suris

Michael Suris was instrumental in extending Lake Braddock's winning streak to four on Friday. Alexandria City had no answer to Suris as he threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes.

Suris and Lake Braddock will square off against West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Spartans, probably because Suris had a solid game then too: he threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Scott Lewis Turns in Season-Best Effort

Scott Lewis produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Springfield to the win on Friday. Lewis threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

On the season, Lewis has thrown 4 touchdowns while averaging 54.8 passing yards per game.

Jt Bordeaux's Big Game Leads Lake Braddock over Alexandria City

Another Lake Braddock player making an appearance on this list is Jt Bordeaux. He rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards dating back to last season.

If the past is any indication, Bordeaux could be in store for another big game when he takes on West Springfield on Friday. Bordeaux rushed for 207 yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in November of 2023.

Rounding off our Top Five is Alpha Jalloh of Alexandria City. Jalloh rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 14 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

On the season, Jalloh has thrown 2 touchdowns while averaging 24.9 passing yards per game.
