Basketball Recap: Kingman Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Kingman Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 51-49 victory from a begrudging Tigers squad. That's more bragging rights for they, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Wickenburg still got an impressive performance from Nick Formica, who shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Formica is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jimmy Garcia was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Kingman Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wickenburg, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
