Bloomer had lost four straight headed into Saturday's matchup, but Brooke Petska didn't let it get to five. The Blackhawks had just enough and edged out the Fall Creek Crickets 2-1 for which the team can thank Petska, who had 20 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Bloomer who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 30-32, 15-12.

Bloomer's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Fall Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-14.

Bloomer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Turtle Lake on the 4th. As for Fall Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Northwestern on the 4th.
