 It may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Pittsfield ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They skirted past the Franklin Tornadoes  9-8. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Pittsfield.
 For Franklin's part,  Matt Nason led a balanced group of hitters,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. Nason has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kourtney Kaplan, who  went 2-for-4 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Pittsfield's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Franklin, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with that  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Pittsfield will stay at home for another  game and welcome Epping at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Epping will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  win, something Pittsfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Nute at 4:00  p.m. Franklin is facing Nute at the right time seeing as Nute is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
