Basketball Recap: Ayer Shirley Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Ayer Shirley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 68-38 loss at the hands of the Lunenburg Blue Knights. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Blue Knights: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ayer Shirley and St. Bernard's Central Catholic will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lunenburg, they will be home for the holidays to greet Tyngsborough at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
