Soccer Recap: Battery Creek Takes a Loss

Battery Creek lost against Oceanside Collegiate Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dolphins came up short against the Landsharks, falling 11-0. While losing is never fun, Battery Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Oceanside Collegiate Academy are ranked 19th).

Battery Creek now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

Battery Creek will take on St. Andrew's at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th.
