Football Recap: University Does not Make It Easy on Berthoud's Passing Game + How To Watch

If University was feeling good fresh off their 28-6 takedown of Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Berthoud Spartans on Friday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why University lost, don't look at Michael Kelly. Despite the final result, he rushed for 104 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries.

Even if they lost, University's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.

The critical scores for Berthoud came from Jayce Newbill, Brody Hall, and Trae Anderson.

University has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Berthoud, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.
