Hanford had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Southridge on Friday. The Falcons never let the Suns get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Heidi Sweet made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kenzie Hofstad was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jadyn Owens was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Hanford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

Hanford's record now sits at 17-4. As for Southridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hanford beat Southridge by a score of 7-0 later that day.
