Mountain Lakes waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They strolled past the Morris Catholic Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lakers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Crusaders are ranked 252nd).

Mountain Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Morris Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Mountain Lakes will look to defend their home field on Friday against Newton at 7:00 p.m. The Lakers will need to watch out since the Braves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Morris Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
