Baseball Recap: Carson Comes Up Short

Carson fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Narbonne on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gauchos by a score of 7-6. The Colts just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Anthony Dorado was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, Xavier Allen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one double and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Nate Ruan was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-5.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Narbonne, their record now sits at 3-6.

Carson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 win against San Pedro on the 21st. As for Narbonne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 15-7 loss against Banning on the 21st.
