Basketball Recap: Silver Valley Beats Western Christian for Their Third Straight Victory

Silver Valley had won two straight games and Judah Caldwell did his part to make it three on Wednesday. The Trojans came out on top against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers by a score of 68-57 thanks in part to Caldwell, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 16 boards. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least 17 points.

Javion Taylor was another key player, going 6-for-7 en route to 13 points and six rebounds. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

Several Fighting Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bryce Benavidez, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Bartholomew, who put up 14 points.

Silver Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Western Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Silver Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 80-51 victory against University Prep on the 12th. As for Western Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 74-30 loss against Arrowhead Christian on the 17th.
