Silver Valley had won two straight games and Judah Caldwell did his part to make it three on Wednesday. The Trojans came out on top against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers by a score of 68-57 for which the team can thank Caldwell, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 16 boards. The game was his fourth in a row with at least 17 points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Javion Taylor, who went 6-for-7 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.
Silver Valley's record now sits at 5-2. As for Western Christian, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
Looking ahead, Silver Valley will challenge University Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will be up against the Jaguars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.27 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Western Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Arrowhead Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
