Soccer Recap: SPIRE Academy Comes Up Short

SPIRE Academy and Kiski School pushed the score to 7-3 the last time they played Kiski School, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The SPIRE took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to SPIRE Academy of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

SPIRE Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kiski School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-2 record this season.

SPIRE Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on High Mowing at 12:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Kiski School, they will square off against Hoosac at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
