Soccer Recap: Portal Comes Up Short

If Portal was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of McIntosh County Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Portal Panthers fell 4-2 to the Screven County Gamecocks on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Gamecocks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, Portal fell to 6-1. As for Screven County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portal will host Bulloch Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Screven County, they will face off against McIntosh County Academy at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th.
