Football Recap: Enoch Taylor and Kaliam Hunter Pace Bremerton Defense

Bremerton's game on Friday was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The game between the Knights and the Orting Cardinals didn't end well, with the Knights falling 41-27. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bremerton still got an impressive performance from Kenneth Najera, who rushed for 55 yards and a pair of scores. Buda Sorensen was in the mix as well, providing the Knights with two touchdowns.

While Bremerton came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for Orting: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 29.4%. The team can thank Marquise Allen for the heroic effort on defense: he. Bremerton wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 41.2%.

Orting got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Shiron Seniors out in front who picked up 119 receiving yards, and also rushed for 37 yards and one TD. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 64 yards. Dakota Anderson was another key player, rushing for 76 yards and one score.

Bremerton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Orting, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Bremerton and Orting will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Knights will take on rival Bainbridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Orting is set to face off against their familiar foe Fife at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
