Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Takes a Loss

Brookfield lost against Garfield back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the G-Men.

While Brookfield was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Garfield's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-22, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Brookfield still got an impressive performance from Alexia Baker, who had 21 digs. Baker has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Brookfield has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Garfield, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Brookfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against John F. Kennedy Catholic on the 9th. As for Garfield, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Southeast on the 8th.
