Soccer Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Canyon Cougars came up short against the Steele Knights and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Knights are ranked 96th).

Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 9-6-5. As for Steele, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2-3.

Coming up, Canyon will be playing at home against San Marcos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Steele, they will venture away from home to square off against Johnson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Steele is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.
