Having struggled with eight defeats in a row dating back to last season, Assumption finally turned things around against Wittenberg-Birnamwood on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Chargers out 2-1.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Edgar's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Winneconne by a score of 2-1.
Edgar took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. After all that action, the final score was 20-25, 25-17, 15-9.
Assumption's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Edgar, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.
