Basketball Recap: North Lincoln's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to 27

North Lincoln extended their postseason success on Friday against Erwin. They were the clear victor by a 65-44 margin over the Erwin Warriors. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 21 points or more this season.

North Lincoln found their leader in sophomore Ally Smith, who shot 46% from the field on her way to 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Smith's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 19 points. Lydia Cipriano was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight boards and five steals.

The victory (which was North Lincoln's 27th in a row) raised their record to 27-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points over those games. As for Erwin, their loss dropped their record down to 19-8.

Coming up, North Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ben L. Smith at 7:00 p.m. North Lincoln is on a 17-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Ben L.
