Volleyball Recap: Ceres Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pacheco on Monday, Ceres came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Grace Davis Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Ceres started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 0-25, 0-25, 25-0, 25-0, 16-14.

Ceres' defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Grace Davis, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-9.

Ceres has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Beyer on the 20th. As for Grace Davis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Pacheco on the 20th.
