Softball Recap: Omaha Westside Warriors vs. Gretna East Griffins        
        
		
             On Saturday, the Omaha Westside Warriors beat the Gretna East Griffins 8-3. With that  win, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.3  runs per game.
  Hannah Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jordyn Shields, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  runs. She also put up  an  RBI, which washer first of the season.
 Omaha Westside now  has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Gretna East, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  at home.
 Omaha Westside will host Bellevue East  at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Gretna East, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they challenge  Waverly  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
