Volleyball Game Preview: Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience Owls vs. Gateway Science Academy Gators

The Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience Owls will challenge the Gateway Science Academy Gators at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience will be strutting in after a victory while Gateway Science Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Maplewood-Richmond Heights as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Gateway Science Academy came up short against Ladue Horton Watkins on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gateway Science Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-22.

Gateway Science Academy now has a losing record of 1-2-1. As for Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4-1.

Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience was able to grind out a solid win over Gateway Science Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
