Volleyball Game Preview: Syracuse Bulldogs vs. Hoxie Indians

The Syracuse Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Hoxie Indians on Tuesday. Syracuse is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Syracuse didn't have quite enough to beat Wichita County and fell 2-1. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-19 in the first set.

Syracuse started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-14, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Hoxie came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Ellis on Saturday.

Hoxie easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-21.

Syracuse's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Hoxie, the win got them back to even at 15-15.

Syracuse couldn't quite get it done against Hoxie in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
