Volleyball Game Preview: Hansen Huskies vs. Carey Panthers

Hansen hasn't had much luck against Carey recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Huskies will head out to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Tuesday, Hansen made easy work of Camas County and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Mushers: they've now won eight in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Hansen was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Carey got the win against Dietrich on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Carey won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-23.

Carey's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Hansen, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-6.

Hansen was able to grind out a solid win over Carey in their previous meeting back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
