Softball Recap: North Stafford Triumphs

North Stafford's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Massaponax Panthers by a score of 12-7. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kaylee Lizardo, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Addy Aragon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: North Stafford lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

North Stafford's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Massaponax, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

North Stafford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Massaponax, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harrisonburg at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th.
