Volleyball Recap: Mechanicsburg Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Red Land

Mechanicsburg faced Red Land in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Patriots, falling 3-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Mechanicsburg was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Red Land work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 29-27, 25-14.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mechanicsburg fell to 7-1. As for Red Land, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mechanicsburg will face off against rival Northern York at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Red Land is set to challenge their familiar foe Hershey at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
