Basketball Recap: West Blocton Comes Up Short

West Blocton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 74-33 loss at the hands of the Holy Spirit Catholic Saints. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 359th, while the Saints are ranked 136th).

West Blocton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Holy Spirit Catholic, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

West Blocton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Calera at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Spirit Catholic, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against South Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
