Kennedy is 8-2 against Wilby since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will take on the Wildcats at 3:30 p.m.

Kennedy blew Derby out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Derby got their revenge. The Eagles fell just short of the Red Raiders by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilby). They were the clear victors by a 22-6 margin over Waterbury Career Academy on Monday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wilby, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Kennedy came out on top in a nail-biter against Wilby in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
