Softball Recap: Chesterton Takes a Loss

Crown Point hit Chesterton with a six-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans lost 10-0 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 back in April.

This is the second loss in a row for Chesterton and nudges their season record down to 9-8. As for Crown Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Chesterton will face off against Portage at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Crown Point, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Penn on the 9th.
