Basketball Preview: Wheeler County Bulldogs vs. East Laurens Falcons
After two games on the road, Wheeler County is heading back home. They and the East Laurens Falcons will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wheeler County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 490th, while the Falcons are ranked 148th).
Last Saturday, Wheeler County ended up a good deal behind the Red Devils and lost 55-37. Wheeler County has not had much luck with the Red Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
In what's become a running theme this season, East Laurens gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 75-14 victory over Wilkinson County at home.
Wheeler County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for East Laurens, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.
