Hopkins dropped their record down to 6-8 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buffalo Bison. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in April.
As for Buffalo, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games.
