It was a good run, but Perham unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 76-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thief River Falls Prowlers. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Prowlers earlier this season, when they won 72-69.

Thief River Falls was led to victory by Bridger Wilcox and Everett Nelson. Wilcox dropped a double-double with 35 points and ten rebounds, while Nelson dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards. Those 22 points gave Nelson a new career-high. Gannon Zutz was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Perham's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Thief River Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Perham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thief River Falls, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 73-58 loss against Barnesville on the 11th.
