Soccer Game Preview: Papillion-LaVista vs. Creighton Prep

Papillion-LaVista is 0-10 against Creighton Prep since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. Papillion-LaVista will head out to challenge Creighton Prep at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Papillion-LaVista barely beat Burke the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Papillion-LaVista's defense stepped up to hand Burke a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. The score was close at halftime, but Papillion-LaVista pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Darian Barragan and Brody Thober scored all three of Papillion-LaVista's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Creighton Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln Southwest on Saturday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Creighton Prep.

Papillion-LaVista's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Creighton Prep, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Papillion-LaVista might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Creighton Prep when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Papillion-LaVista avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
